Within walking distance of the delightful beaches at Cwm yr Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod, The farm house offers accommodation, at a near perfect location on a working farm

The walk around the Island (actually a promontory headland) is part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and has been awarded the AA Walk of the Year numerous times and featured in The Times 20 Great British Walks.

Also from the farm we have a private walk through our woodland which takes you to Cwm-yr-Eglwys beach and the coast path to Newport and beyond.

The "rocket poppit" coastal bus also operates from the bottom of the farm drive (Pwllgwaelod beach) from May-September giving guests the option to be dropped off or collected from anywhere along the coast path so you can enjoy a walk without having to retrace your steps back to your car

Every effort has been made to ensure that your stay will be comfortable and welcoming. There is an excellent pub with restaurant overlooking the beach at the bottom of the farm drive and nearby, in the village, a further selection of pubs, a chip shop and village shops.


The main farmhouse offers the shared use of an automatic washing machine and chest freezer in the UTILITY ROOM.

Behind the main farmhouse is a large garden which guests are welcome to use. 

All the beds will be made up with duvets, fresh bed linen and towels for your arrival. (But we kindly ask not to use the towels for the beach please)

There is ample parking spaces adjacent to each cottage.

A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available, please request on booking.

There is a
No smoking policy inside all the cottages.

Well behaved pets are welcome at a charge of £20 per animal per week, (there are 2 other friendly dogs living at the property). We kindly ask that dogs are not left in the cottage alone and be restricted to the tilled areas only and for the sake of next weeks guests not allowed to sit directly on the furniture.

Guests may arrive any time after 4pm (unless arranged otherwise) and are kindly asked to depart by 10am on the day of departure.(unless otherwise arranged)

The slate fronted part of the house is the top end of the main 400 year old farmhouse and is situated in a sheltered position on Dinas Island 


GROUND FLOOR

Entrance into large hallway and through to comfortable LOUNGE which features a newly fitted log burner and is furnished with a leather suite, colour TV, DVD and wooden floor

The small adjoining KITCHEN has an open low beamed ceiling, a range of fitted units, electric hob and oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave oven and a pine dining table with  4 chairs.

FIRST FLOOR

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, both enjoying pastoral and farmyard views.

BEDROOM 1 is spacious and has a antique double bed and furnishings 
BEDROOM 2 has 3' bunk beds.
All the beds have duvets and will be made up with fresh linen for your arrival.

The BATHROOM has a bath, shower, WC and wash hand basin.


Garden and Parking

There is a patio area to the front of the cottage with garden furniture and you have shared use of the garden

Ample parking for two cars and a boat if required.


Other Information

Oil central heating is available throughout the property at a charge of £20 per week when required. Electricity is included in the rental. Logs are available locally.

Workshop Cottage 1 bed/sitting room sleeps up to 2+ people 3*

(This cottage is also available for short breaks throughout the season from £40-£100 per night)

A lovely little Studio Cottage for two situated on Dinas Island and close to Cwm yr Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod beaches and within a couple of hundred yards of the coastal path.  

The Old Workshop enjoys a great spot at the heart of the working farm and is located opposite the main farmhouse.

This cottage is also available for short breaks throughout the season on a price per night basis (£40-£100/night) making it ideal for walkers looking for a nightly base, please contact us for more details

Ground floor
Entrance is into the open plan KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM which has a tiled floor and is fitted with a range of Shaker style units incorporating an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and a dining table with chairs. 

There is more freezer space and a washing machine available in the farmhouse utility room if you need it.  

The SHOWER ROOM is downstairs and has a wet room shower with tiled floor, WC and hand basin. 

There is also space to hang coats and store walking boots. 

First floor
Stairs lead to the large BED-SITTING ROOM which has windows on all 4 sides affording farmyard views.
The sitting area is furnished with a comfortable sofa (which converts to a double bed for occasional use), coffee table, wardrobe, chest of draws and a TV & DVD player.

There is a double bed with attractive cushions and throws, bedside tables with lamps
A door leads out to the original workshop steps offering views over the fields and an ideal place to view the sunset


Garden and Parking
To the rear of the cottage is a courtyard of farm buildings and guests have use of the shared garden area behind the main farmhouse

There is parking for two cars
 

Other information

There are night store heaters throughout the cottage, electricity is included in the rental.

One well behaved pet is welcome but must sleep in the kitchen/dining or hall area @ £20 per week
