Within walking distance of the delightful beaches at Cwm yr Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod, The farm house offers accommodation on a working farm

The walk around the Island (actually a promontory headland) is part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and has been awarded the AA Walk of the Year numerous times and featured in The Times 20 Great British Walks.

Also from the farm we have a private walk through our woodland which takes you to Cwm-yr-Eglwys beach and the coast path to Newport and beyond.

The “rocket poppet” coastal bus also operates from the bottom of the farm drive (Pwllgwaelod beach) from May-September giving guests the option to be dropped off or collected from anywhere along the coast path so you can enjoy a walk without having to retrace your steps back to your car

Every effort has been made to ensure that your stay will be comfortable and welcoming. There is an excellent pub with restaurant overlooking the beach at the bottom of the farm drive and nearby, in the village, a further selection of pubs, a chip shop and village shops.

The main farmhouse offers the shared use of an automatic washing machine.

Behind the main farmhouse is a large garden which guests are welcome to use.

All the beds will be made up with duvets, fresh bed linen and towels for your arrival. (But we kindly ask not to use the towels for the beach please)

There is ample parking spaces adjacent to each cottage.

A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available, please request on booking.

There is a No smoking policy inside all the cottages.

Well behaved pets are welcome at a charge of £20 per animal per week, (there are 3 other friendly dogs living at the property). We kindly ask that dogs are not left in the cottage alone and be restricted to the tilled areas only and for the sake of next weeks guests not allowed to sit directly on the furniture.

Guests may arrive any time after 4pm (unless arranged otherwise) and are kindly asked to depart by 10am on the day of departure.(unless otherwise arranged)

Situated just half a mile on the outskirts of the seaside town of Newport  at the foot of the Preseli Hills, and within the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park with the main bus route at the bottom of the farm lane, Hendre is an ideal base for any holiday 

We are able to offer you a selection of different size cottages to suit your individual needs with something for everyone. ,Hendre Cottages offers you a choice of converted stone built cowsheds , with some rooms offering  sea views,  and all located on the outskirts of the popular seaside town of Newport,

Newport is very popular attractive little town and has several pubs, restaurants, craft shops, galleries, a links golf club and horse riding stables.

Newport beach and various secluded coves are dotted along the coastline waiting to be explored and the coastal bus service can be caught at the end of the farm lane.

All the properties have full oil fired central heating systems and Ty Fferm also offers you a log burner for those cosy nights in

In the low season weeks, we are happy to offer a reduction for smaller parties in the larger cottages. Please ask for further details
